For over twenty years, Transformation Groups have been a nationwide tool used to successfully break the strongholds of addictive and destructive behaviors developed in the routines of everyday life.
Born out of the desperate need to offer hope to the hopeless and healing to the broken, inner-city pastor Troy Smith began The Transformation Principle Ministries with a vision to provide answers to life’s questions and peace in life’s storms.
Based on the foundational principle, “If the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed,” Transformation Groups teach that freedom is a reality and our lives are restored—in Christ Jesus. Through the practical application of Biblical principles, you will be empowered to “break the chains of bondage through Christ Jesus.”
Keys To Our Success
Christ – He is always kept in the forefront.
Simplicity - We take care to make our material as simple as possible.
Repetition - Even after we are familiar with a truth, we must thoroughly saturate our minds with it before we will have the ability to live by it.
Our Five Objectives:
OBJECTIVE ONE: TO BE ON A SURE FOUNDATION
The first priority when rebuilding our lives is to lay a good foundation. God instructs us (I Cor. 3:11) that the only secure foundation is Jesus Christ. He is the rock.
We are created for fellowship with the Supreme God. The only way that sinful man can fellowship with Holy God is through the God-man, Jesus Christ. As we identify with Christ and learn to live by and trust His promises, every area of our lives is permeated by His power.
OBJECTIVE TWO: TO BE OF A SOUND MIND
We realize that we can only have healthy fulfilled lives if we have healthy minds and that uncontrolled emotions are the greatest deterrent to healthy minds. Therefore, our goal is to bring our thoughts and emotions into conformity to the principles and purpose of God. We need to grasp the fact that our best decisions are made at that place of emotional stability and that we can control our emotions, rather than have our emotions control us.
OBJECTIVE THREE: TO BE RESPONSIBLE
Because being responsible means accepting responsibility for our decisions and actions, and because our being responsible is vital if we are to be spiritually mature people, we propose to learn to be accountable in every area of our lives. Christ is the greatest example of what it means to be responsible. We will learn from His Word the secret of success.
OBJECTIVE FOUR: TO BE ABLE TO RESOLVE CONFLICTS
Building good relationships is possibly the point of greatest difficulty for most people. Unhealthy relationships destroy us; healthy relationships make both parties better. The key to having healthy relationships is Christ. How we relate to Him has a profound effect on all other relationships. Here we will discover some revealing truths that will guide us as we seek to build and restore relationships.
OBJECTIVE FIVE: TO BE CONFIDENT
Having a poor self-image robs us of confidence. Confidence is a must if we are to build a healthy self-image. We are not referring to self-confidence here but rather confidence that God loves us and places great value on us as individuals — confidence that He will enable us to be successful as long as we work with Him. We will find satisfaction and fulfillment, as we become familiar with His principles for success.
